German Extra Hardy in the Porcelain family of hardneck garlic. It produces notably large cloves with only 4-6 cloves in each bulb and 25-40 cloves per pound. Each successfully grown clove will produce a full sized bulb, yielding about 5x the amount you plant.
As the name implies, it is a very hardy option that can be successful in extremely cold winters. It also produces a flavorful edible scape.
